China Paradise

531 Hartz Avenue
Dublin, California

I have long been a fan of this restaurant, but I love it even more now that I'm vegan. They have an extensive vegetarian menu, and will make anything to your specifications: no egg, no pork, no oyster sauce, no problem! I highly recommend the sauteed spinach and garlic, the spicy eggplant, and the braised tofu is to die for. They also offer brown rice on the side which is a bonus for health conscious customers.

Koji's Sushi

Danville, California
480 San Ramon Valley Blvd.

What a fantastic restaurant! I have long been searching for a good sushi restaurant in Danville, which shouldn't be hard since they are everywhere, but I have had more bad experiences than good. Vegan options at a sushi restaurant can be hit or miss. I was originally drawn in by their Macrobiotic lunch special which had ten different vegetable entrées. I went there for dinner and ordered several of their appetizers: vegetable tempura, tofu dengaku, zensai trio, and cucumber sunomono. Those were only some of their vegan and vegetarian offerings. Everything was great, especially the sunomono and the hijiki salad in the trio. I can't wait to go back again and try everything else.

Thai House

Danville, California
254 Rose Ave

I always thought this place had the best Thai food in Danville/San Ramon, but after I became vegan, I realized just how great this place is. First of all, they've actually heard the word vegan, and know what it means. They also have an extensive vegetarian section on their menu, and are very flexible about adjusting other items. They are also super detail oriented. I recently ordered their summer rolls, and the chef came back from the kitchen to tell me that he would like to substitute a different sauce, because the usual one is not vegan. I was blown away. Definitely check this place out the next time you're looking for a great Thai restaurant.

This restaurant is great. I have only ever eaten there for lunch, but as the menu is the same, it’s great for dinner too. The space is fairly small, but clean and nice. It’s your typical Thai restaurant. They have an extensive vegetarian section of the menu, and the noodle and rice dishes can be made without meat and eggs. I highly recommend this place for a casual lunch, or quick dinner. The food is great, and the service is friendly and efficient.
